About J.A.M


J.A.M is an acronym for Junita Arneld Maiullari.

Since 2001 she specialized in anthropology and since 2006 she became a part of the Scientific Project Collaborator for Indonesian Art & Culture at Museum of the Cultures of Lugano, Switzerland.

She co-authored the book Patong, La Grande Scultura dei Popoli del Borneo (Patong, the Great Sculpture of the People of Borneo), wrote several articles on Dayak culture and arts, and contributes with her writings to the Borneo Research Council in the United States. She regularly conducts field research in Kalimantan.


Her passion in photography made her win "The Best Indonesian Photographer 2012” prize from the Gallery Photography Indonesia (GPI).

Using a pseudonym name, Arita-CH, she wrote in Indonesian language about life, culture, mind and daily life philosophy in Indonesian citizen journalism, KoKi Kolom Kita.
